Cocoa Butter – Cocoa Butter is a vegetable fat that quickly dissolves into the skin. It contains antioxidants which give it quite an extensive shelf life. It works well preventing future stretch marks and here are some brilliant tips for making best use out of your Cocoa butter
- Wash your skin with some quality soap, dry it and then apply a good amount of Cocoa Butter. Rub in a circular emotion insuring that it is fully applied over the area you wish to cover.
- Leave Cocoa Butter on for a long period of time each time you apply it, and apply it as often as you can as Cocoa butter needs to be applied regularly to achieve its best results.
- Buy Cocoa Butter brands that contain Emu Oil, Shea Butter and Vitamin E. As these extra emollients drastically improve its effectiveness.
- If you are pregnant, apply Cocoa Butter to your thighs, hips, breasts and stomach so that it can hopefully prevent new stretch marks from forming.
Bio Oil – Bio Oil was created by a German scientist called Dieter Beier. It is a widely used treatment for stretch marks. Bio Oil is made with both plant and vitamin oils and moisturizers the skin intensely. Bio Oil also improves the texture and appearance of uneven skin tones, stretch marks and scars.
Olive Oil – This is the most inexpensive option. Olive Oil is very rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients. This makes it good for healing the skin, meaning it can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. To apply it you need to warm it up slightly to just over room temperature and rub gently into your effected areas.
